Dean Lockhart MSP has today visited the Engine Shed in Stirling.
The facility, based at Forthside Way, is a learning and visitor resource which serves as Scotland’s national building conservation hub.
Dean was taken on a tour of the building by Dorothy Hoskins, technical outreach and education manager at the Engine Shed, and told about how the centre is using world-leading innovation to bring Scotland’s built heritage to life through a range of technology and hands-on activities.
Dean also had the chance to speak to staff about current digital projects which in house experts are undertaking such as digitally mapping the Forth Road Bridge and Stirling Castle.
Dean Lockhart MSP said:
''One year on from its opening, there are lots of activities and workshops of offer throughout the year so I would encourage as many people as possible to experience the Engine Shed first-hand and get involved with what is a great asset to the local economic, educational and cultural environment in Stirling.''
