It was great to catch-up with Stirling Police this morning about local priorities for policing in Stirling city centre. Anti social behaviour in the town a key talking point alongside ongoing community engagement projects.
The meeting was particularly important given the reported increase in anti-social behaviour in Stirling city centre and the recent crime statistics which show that anti-social behaviour in the Stirling Council area rose by 3 per cent over the last year.
The figures show that there have been 5481 incidents of anti-social behaviour in Scotland during 2017-18, a rise of 169.
In addition, the figures show that there have been, on average, 15 incidents per day reported to the police.
