Bank of Scotland branches in Balfron and Killin will close their doors by October this year.
Lloyds Banking Group are shutting 56 branches in total across the UK.
It’s been claimed up to 80 jobs will be lost, as a result.
The company says it’s in response to changing customer behaviour.
Dean Lockhart MSP said:
''This news will be a hammer blow for my rural constituents.
“The banks will point to a lack of footfall in these branches as the reason for closures.
“However these are people who have little other option but to visit their local bank branch.
“I am also appalled that in 2020 these rural communities lack the basic digital infrastructure to be able to access online banking services.
“At a time when free to use ATMs are being cut across Scotland, continued access to cash is a very serious issue.
“I will write to Bank of Scotland and seek assurances that customers will not be left in a cash desert as a result of these decisions”
