Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Dean Lockhart has backed a campaign by the Stirling Observer to put a stop to unreasonably high ticket pricing by Vue Cinema in Stirling.
Vue’s Stirling cinema has been revealed to sell their most expensive cinema tickets in Scotland. £7 more expensive than Inverness, and £5 more expensive than Edinburgh.
Vue Cinemas have stated that this is due to a ‘dynamic ticketing policy’ however many constituents across the area strongly believe that the pricing structure is a disadvantage for movie enthusiasts in Stirling.
The Stirling Observer’s ‘Fair Vue’ petition has so far received over 5,000 signatures and support from across the political spectrum.

‘’I have pledged my support for the campaign being run by the Stirling Observer on the ticket pricing policy being used by Vue Cinema and the negative impact these inflated ticket prices is having upon those living in and around Stirling.
‘’I believe that Vue Cinemas should explain to people in Stirling why they should have to pay more for the same ticket and service which is available in other areas at a lower cost.
‘’This is not about telling a business how much to charge its customers, but ensuring that people in Stirling are not disadvantaged by this seemingly bizarre pricing policy.’’
